Albert Gilstrap

Honea Path – Albert “Ab” Edward Gilstrap, 89, of 107 Arkansas Street, widower of Julia “Judy” Crocker Gilstrap, died Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. He was twice married first to the late Paralee “Pat” Bell Gilstrap.

Born in Georgia, he was a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Artie Gilstrap.  He was a member of the Honea Path Church of God of Prophecy and a veteran of the U.S. Army.  He enjoyed flower arranging and was a self employed auto body repairman.

 Surviving are:  one son, Danny Gilstrap and wife Tammy of Honea Path, three step-sons, one step-daughter, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by seventeen siblings.

 Funeral Services will be held at 3 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker and Rev. Eddie Crocker officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-3PM prior to the service at Pruitt Funeral Home.
