John Bell

Honea Path – John Wister Bell, 81, widower of Dorothy Smith Bell, of 102 Baldwin Street, died Monday November 21, 2011 at Stephens County Hospital in Toccoa GA. 

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Willie and Lillie Mae Motes Bell. He attended Honea Path Church of God. He was a retired house painter and was a loving grandfather. 

Surviving are two sons, Danny Bell and wife Teresa of Honea Path, and Mike Bell of Belton; one daughter, Sheila Bell of Honea Path; two brothers, Charlie Bell of Honea Path and Sammy Bell of Bishopville; two sisters, Nora Davis of Honea Path and Ethel Malone of Niceville FL; one grandchild, Tracy Bell Fleming; two great-grandchildren, Kristin Kay and Brandon Fleming.

He was predeceased by a son, Harold Bell; three brothers, Gene, Harold and Bill Bell; one sister, Lula Mae Vaughn; and a granddaughter, Casey Birchfield.

Graveside services will be 11AM Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Shady Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Rickey Knight officiating. 

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends following the service. The family request to omit flowers and make memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, Attn: Donor Services, 225. N. Michigan Ave. Chicago, IL 60601.
