Louise Blackwell

Laurens – Louise Morgan Blackwell, 87, of 121 Woodlawn Dr, Laurens, widow of Warren Richard Blackwell, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at National Healthcare in Laurens, SC. Born in Greenwood; she was a daughter of the late Luther and Annie Hilley Morgan. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation.

Surviving are three sons: Barney G. Blackwell and wife Jewel of Lexington, Larry Blackwell of Laurens, Jimmy Blackwell and wife Joann of Laurens; three daughters: Geraline Abercrombie and husband Gerald of Laurens, Betty Corley and husband Edward of Laurens,  Cathy Riser and husband Mark of Jackson; and one sister: Sylvene Wilkie of Laurens; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday at 3:30 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Riser officiating.
